Gatherings  

Mid-Michigan Emmaus currently sponsors regular gatherings to reinforce the lessons of piety, study and action learned on the weekend and to serve as a support group. The location moves around the geographic area so that there should be one close to you at least three to four times a year.

The tentative gathering schedule for 2008 includes:

Workshops/Community Training  

Community training sessions are now often held in conjunction with gatherings.

Team Training Meetings  

Team training meetings are for those who have been invited by the lay director to serve on the team for an upcoming walk. Normally both the men’s and women’s teams meet simultaneously for all-day sessions on four Saturdays prior to the men’s walk. The lay directors notify team members of the exact time and place. Bring your name tag, a lunch, and a snack or beverage to share. If possible, bring your completed team information and medical forms, as well as your team fee, to the first meeting.

Board Meetings  

The regular meeting night for the Mid-Michigan Emmaus board of directors is the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. The board has been meeting at Bangor Baptist Church on Keisel Road in Bay City. Members of the community are welcome at all board meetings. If you have an item for the agenda, please contact the community lay director prior to the meeting.
